- What do you love about Dayton?
- I have fallen in love with Dayton because of its people and the pride they have for this city - it's contagious! It's amazing to live in an area with such a historical significance, and such a bright potential for the future.
- How has Generation Dayton aided your professional, personal and/or social development?
- I'm not sure how I lived in the area so long without Generation Dayton! The organization has introduced me to so many different opportunities that I didn't know existed, and I've met several people who have become wonderful friends.
- Tell us a little more about your profession and company.
- WHIO-TV has been the dominant television news station in the Dayton area for decades and recently became the #1 watched CBS affiliate in the country. In late 2010, WHIO-TV merged with WHIO radio and the Dayton Daily News to form Cox Media Group Ohio, further strengthening the company as a journalistic powerhouse. As an on-air reporter, I report on the top news of the day, Monday through Friday, at noon, 5:00, 5:30 and 6:00 pm. I also occasionally anchor the news on the weekends.
- What do you enjoy about your career/profession? Employer?
- I absolutely love meeting new people every day and telling their stories. Nothing makes me happier than knowing one of my reports helped someone, assisted police in solving a crime, or made a difference in someone's life. The professionals at WHIO-TV are among the best I’ve ever met.
