What do you love about Dayton?: I love Dayton’s unlimited potential. We live in a community that was founded on innovation and creativity. Dayton’s historic innovators have given so much to the generations of Dayton and I love the desire of our young professionals to continue this tradition.
How has Generation Dayton aided your professional, personal and/or social development?: Generation Dayton’s Books on Business has given me a common ground opportunity to develop thoughts and opinions; to share them with a group, debate their quality and, through this discussion, learn from peers across multiple industries. The members of Generation Dayton have also taught me the value of a good personal brand.
Tell us a little more about your profession and company...: P&R Communications Service, Inc. is a 48-year old Dayton company that has built its business providing and servicing public safety and commercial two-way radio systems. Most notably, P&R Communications is the principle communications provider and servicer for Montgomery, Preble, Shelby and Darke Counties, as well as scores of other municipalities, public safety organizations and private sector companies throughout our 12-county region in Ohio.

In 2007, P&R Communications joined forces with Motorola in the provision of wireless broadband products ranging from point-to-point wireless Ethernet connectivity to Wi-Fi communications and from microwave radio systems to advanced data capture. Our partnership positions P&R to serve organizations throughout the United States with wireless broadband technologies that reduce operating expenses, increase efficiency, and differentiate our customers from their competition.
What do you enjoy about your career/profession? Employer?: I love working with cutting edge technology to develop solutions for customers that were once thought to be impossible. My passion is consulting with the customer, discussing what is possible and, even more, how we can see it through to implementation. Our team at P&R Communications has an uncommon devotion to serving our customers with quality solutions and services. We have built our business by helping our customers build theirs.
