What do you love about Dayton?: My favorite thing about Dayton is the people. The attitudes, values and passions of people from the Miami Valley continue to amaze me everyday!
How has Generation Dayton aided your professional, personal and/or social development?: I have learned so much from Generation Dayton, not only from the events themselves but also from my Generation Dayton peers. I have met fellow young professionals from this organization that inspire me to think bigger and do more in my professional and personal life. I have learned things from my GenD friends that will stay with me forever.
Tell us a little more about your profession and company...: I work for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Miami Valley Region. Our mission is to provide a “home away from home” for families of critically ill or injured, hospitalized children, and to support efforts that improve children’s health within the Miami Valley region. I work in foundation grants, events, marketing, donor relations and database management.
What do you enjoy about your career/profession? Employer?: I enjoy that every day at RMHC different challenges arise to overcome. Also, being in the non-profit sector, and specifically at RMHC, I get to feel wonderful about the work I do on a daily basis, and the fact that I am helping families stay together during a difficult time in their lives. Not only that, but the entire staff at RMHC are wonderful people and it is a pleasure to work with them everyday.
