Generation Dayton is issuing a corporate challenge: bring out the most volunteers for Get Out, Give Back Dayton Day and we'll send your team members home with a $200 gift card to Milano's for a pizza feast. An estimated 100 young professionals will take to the streets of Dayton on Friday, May 4, 2012, to “Get Out, Give Back Dayton!” Known as Generation Dayton Day, the event marks the sixth anniversary of Generation Dayton.
Volunteers will meet at the Excelsior building to check-in and for lunch, beginning at 12:00 noon before embarking on assigned volunteer missions. After volunteering between 1 PM - 5 PM, volunteers will celebrate shared experiences and accomplishments over food and drink, from 5:30 - 8:00 PM.
Generation Dayton was founded in May of 2006. It is a diverse organization of talented young professionals who live and work in the Dayton region to meet, network, learn, grow, and establish themselves as integral components in the future success of the Dayton region. They strive to be the most all-inclusive and well-respected young professionals organization in the Dayton region dedicated to motivating all members to reach their full potential. They exist to engage, inspire, retain, and attract talented young professionals in the Dayton region by providing opportunities to connect with peers, develop professional skills, build relationships with business and community leaders, voice opinions and concerns to decision-makers, volunteer to improve the surrounding community, and have a positive impact on others and the Dayton region.
This year promises to be another huge success for Generation Dayton Day due to partnerships with other associations of young professionals like, and through additional support from a long-time sponsor of the organization, Heidelberg Distributing Co.
